Poonam is an artist from India, currently based in Long Island, New York. Poonam describes painting as a self-taught meditation that disconnects her from her everyday life. Her work depicts her love for Indian mythology and nature, through intricate and layered illustrations in the oil medium. The passing of her late sister continues to motivate her work, as Poonam has partnered with several associations to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
